The intent of the PAS program is to allow homeless shelters to reduce barriers for those individuals experiencing homelessness with their pets. By making accommodations for pets, we bring individuals into shelters who otherwise would not receive services and shelter. Funding for this NOFA is provided pursuant to the Budget Act of 2021, AB 128 (Chapter 21, Statutes of 2021) as amended by SB 129 (Chapter 69, Statutes of 2021) section 274, Control Section 19.57, paragraph (b)(21).
